Two photographs of America 's Cup yachts from the collection of Edmund Lang, chairman of the Race Committee of the New York Yacht Club during the 1930s. Other Lang yachting memorabilia is also available on our website.

The American Ranger and the British Endeavour II were J-class yachts that battled for the America 's Cup in 1937. Ranger was the last J-Class yacht built in the 1930s, and won not only that race, but 32 out of 34 races it entered.

Condition: Each photograph glued to white card mount, as issued. Generally very good with the usual light overall toning and light wear. Some glue residue evident at edges, and some glue has dried out, causing photographs to begin to lift off mounts.
